Production and survivors

The Dragon Rapide and Dominie were in production from 1934 to 1944 and in this time 728 examples were built.
Somewhat surprisingly a recent census showed that 43 survive. A large proportion are in museums around the world, examples being found as widely dispersed as Israel and Brazil.
17 remain airworthy, mainly in England and New Zealand and a further 6 are under rebuild to fly again. Not a bad record for a 70-year old design
